I use digital tools and physical materials to build hybrid objects. Our digital lives are completely weightless, and turning virtual shapes into real ones you can actually hold feels a bit like magic.

Physical objects are scanned, digital objects are designed virtually, glyphs, marks and patterns emerge from high dimensional space. These are then translated into the physical world and take on the dysfunction of materiality. The heavy, wet, honesty of stuff like clay and ink.

Digital artifacts share space with 3D printing lines, the knocks and scratches of physical handling and the organic patinas of glazing and firing. Objects and images adorned with high and low brow technological scarring.

This is a bit of an experiment in itself, cataloguing my process and journey. Expect ad-hoc dispatches from my time in the studio.
